On February 18, 2023, Du Yutong, President of the China-UK Youth Innovation & Entrepreneurship Association, led a delegation to visit CDL Logistics.
During the visit, the two parties engaged in in-depth discussions about cross-border e-commerce between China and the UK. Du Yutong introduced the dynamics of China's e-commerce environment, emphasizing its advantages but also noting the intensifying competition due to market saturation. Many factories, struggling to compete in China's content-driven e-commerce market, are now shifting their focus to Europe and North America. He highlighted the strong growth of TikTok e-commerce and pointed out that consumers in Western markets show significant interest in Chinese-made products. Furthermore, he underscored the nascent stage of interest-based e-commerce overseas and the importance of early market positioning.
Hitesh Chimanbhai Patel, Chairman of CDL Group, expressed optimism about the prospects for collaboration, emphasizing that the visit could serve as a starting point for enhanced communication and cooperation. He looked forward to leveraging the strengths of both sides to foster mutual growth.
Paresh, Chairman of ASPS (Brighton) Ltd, remarked on the strong partnership potential with Chinese businesses. He praised China's advanced manufacturing capabilities and shared his positive experiences working with Chinese partners.
The delegation acknowledged CDL Group's momentum in high-quality development and expressed hopes for deepening ties, expanding cooperation areas, and achieving shared development opportunities through mutual collaboration.
